High Gloss (UV) Business Cards

High Gloss UV Business Cards in Canada | Print It On

High Gloss (UV) Business Cards from Print It On delivers premium quality printing with fast turnaround.

Make your colors pop and your photos memorable. Our High Gloss (UV Coated) business cards feature a super-shiny, reflective finish that brings your design to life.

How It Works: We print on our thick 16pt cardstock and then apply a liquid UV coating that is cured instantly under ultraviolet light. This creates a hard, high-gloss shell over the entire card.

Why Choose High Gloss?

  • Vibrant Colors: The gloss finish reflects light, making blacks darker and colors richer. It is perfect for photography, real estate, and bold logos.

  • Extra Durability: The UV coating creates a protective barrier against scratches, fading, and moisture.

  • Smooth Feel: The surface feels slick and polished, giving your card a professional “wet look” finish.

Note: Because of the coating, you cannot easily write on these cards with a standard pen.

We do not recommend it. The glossy coating makes ink smudge easily. If you need to write on your cards (e.g., appointment times), please choose our Matte or Uncoated options instead.

You can choose! We offer High Gloss on both sides for maximum impact, or on the front only so you can write on the back.

We use our premium 16pt cardstock as the base. The added UV coating makes them feel slightly thicker and stiffer than standard cards, ensuring they don’t get bent easily in a wallet.

Standard size is 3.5″ x 2″. Please include a 0.125″ bleed in your design file (Total size: 3.625″ x 2.125″) to ensure the glossy color goes all the way to the edge.

FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) means the paper is sourced from responsibly managed forests.
Over 90% of our cardstocks are FSC® certified, so you can feel good about printing with us.

Since Spot UV is a custom finish, we cannot print a single custom sample. However, you can visit our shop at 1798 St Matthews Ave to see examples of Spot UV cards we have printed for other clients.

How can I get my order?

You can pick up your order from the shop during the week under normal working hours. If you will need your order to be delivered with in the city or shipped outside, we will be more than happy to arrange that too.

Why do I need bleed in the file?

"Bleed" is an extra 1/8 inch (0.125") of artwork that extends beyond the edge of the card. We cut through this area to ensure your design goes all the way to the edge without leaving any white hairline borders.

Which black should I use?

For large black backgrounds: Use Rich Black (C=75 M=68 Y=67 K=90).
This creates a deep, dark black.
For small text: Use 100% Black (K=100) to keep the text sharp and crisp.

.

Which color format is best: RGB or CMYK?

Please design in CMYK.
RGB (Red, Green, Blue) is for computer screens.
CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) is for printing.
Note: If you submit an RGB file, we will convert it for you, but the colors may shift slightly.

Do you check my artwork before printing?

Yes! To ensure the best quality, our pre-production team reviews every file for correct bleed and sizing.

If we find an issue: We will contact you immediately via email or phone and advise you on how to fix the file.

Design Tip: To avoid cutting off essential elements (like phone numbers or logos), please keep them at least 0.125" (3.175 mm) away from the edge. This is called the "Safety Zone." Only your background colors or images should extend to the edge.

Which file format will be the best for printing?

We prefer a high-quality PDF with bleed included. We also accept high-resolution JPG or PNG files (300 DPI).
